Originally a dairy farm called “Friesland Farms”. When the dairy farm closed the Davis family decided to build a premier golf course in what was then "western Omaha". Things moved quickly and the course we all know and love was completed in 1961. One lucky golfer in those early days will be the envy of golfers all over the world. Bob Mitera, on Oct 7, 1965 teed up a ball on number 10 and let it rip. His ball bounced, hopped, and rolled...all they way down and into the cup. 444 yards, a Guinness Book of World Records. Arnold Palmer and Ray Floyd played an 18 hole Exhibition match in 1972. As the course expanded to include more faclilites we had to move some of the original structures that were still on the property. The course has seen its fair share of weather over the years. In 1999 we even had a flood that submerged much of the course. As always technology changes and so did the policies and rules at Miracle Hill. Metal spikes were the norm for decades. With the invention of spikeless shoes we followed suit with the rest of the industry. While we like to keep the course as professional and family orientated as possible. We're not above having some crazy fun from time to time. The next 50 years of fun at Miracle Hill promise to be just as much fun as the last 50.
